We’re looking for an Ear Care Specialist to join our Solihull clinic. This is hands-on clinical work with a straightforward reward: most patients walk out hearing properly for the first time in months.
You’ll run your own appointment list, carrying out otoscopy, microsuction, and irrigation, and you’ll have the time to do it properly — we book longer slots than most clinics because rushing ear care is how people get hurt.
What you’ll do
- Carry out ear examinations using otoscopy and video otoscopy
- Perform wax removal by microsuction, irrigation, and manual instrumentation
- Identify contraindications and conditions requiring onward referral
- Keep clear, accurate clinical records for every appointment
- Explain findings and aftercare to patients in plain language
- Maintain equipment, infection control, and clinic hygiene standards
What we’re looking for
- Recognised ear care or microsuction qualification, or a registered healthcare background (nurse, audiologist, paramedic, HCA) with willingness to train
- Confident, steady hands and genuine care for patient comfort
- Good communication — many of our patients are elderly or anxious
- Right to work in the UK and a current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Nice to have
- Experience with tympanometry or hearing screening
- Previous work in a private clinic or community ear care service
